We will be celebrating our 6th anniversary this October 1st. Jim and I purchased 209 S. Raleigh St. in June of 2007. At the time this blue house was the only reasonably priced commercial property in Martinsburg. Tucked away on a primarily residential street, it has been a struggle getting folks to notice us. Everyday we still have customers say, "You've been open for 6 years, mmm…never knew you were here?"  

 As you all must know survival of a small, non-chain business and cafe in our town is difficult. So without your commitment to us we would not be here today. In a small way we would like to thank you for your continued patronage by offering 3 customer appreciation Sundays during the summer months – June 23rd, July 21st and August 18th. You can enjoy a variety of  unadvertised specials, some freebies, plus 10% off your entire purchase, excluding bulks herbs. Let us treat you for a change. We are open from 1 pm to 5 pm on Sundays.

Our Blue House

Martinsburg is full of beautiful old homes.  Although many are in disrepair, the town has great potential for new homeowners and businesses. Our street is on the upside these days and once the Raleigh Street extension is completed, I expect to see even more traffic by our store. Love our house and town like we do and come by often.

Peanut Noodle Bowl

We make our own peanut sauce for this delicious entree. Topped with sauteed mushrooms, tomatoes, pea shoots and seasonal vegetables. All entrees come with our signature side salad or Route 11 chips.

Our Cafe Serves Organic Produce
Almost everything on our menu is organic. That means non-gmo, hormone-free and better tasting all around food. Very few cafes in the area or region for that matter offer organic meals.  We are part of the slow-food, locavore movement. Almost everything is made in house without preservatives and additives. Foodies welcome.

Tuscarora Organic Produce

Every Friday throughout the summer we will be getting regular deliveries of organic produce from local farmers. This week we have Oak Leaf Lettuce, Redbor Kale, Sunburst Pattypan Squash, Saladette Tomatoes, Crimini Mushrooms and Portabellas. The more you stop by the more I can order. The best days to shop for our fresh organic produce are Fridays through Mondays. Please help us grow this part of our business.

We also offer a wide variety of other organic produce like carrots, honeydew melons, sprouts, strawberries, red peppers, red onions, yams, yellow onions and more. Please note that our cucumbers are hot house grown and not organic. This week we also have organic vidalia onions and pineapples.
